Torquay have signed defender George Artemi, who trained with the Gulls during pre-season, on a short-term deal until January.
The former Southend youngster has impressed sufficiently to be given his chance at Plainmoor. Manager Martin Ling told the club's official website: "George has been with us since the summer and has done enough to earn a short-term deal, which is effectively an extended trial. "His attitude on the training ground is first class and he now has the chance to prove himself worthy of a proper contract."
