Leg break blow for Gray

Image: Injury: Gray out for six months

Rochdale will be without Reece Gray for up to six months after the teenager suffered a horrendous leg break against Liverpool.

Dale have confirmed the 19-year-old suffered a dislocated ankle, a fractured tibula and a snapped medial ligament in behind-closed-doors fixture, forcing the game to be abandoned. Dale's physio, Andy Thorpe confirmed Gray required surgery and would be sidelined for the rest of the year. Thorpe told Rochdale's official website: "After the operation Reece will spend around two months in plaster before starting the rehabilitation process. At the moment it is looking likely that he'll be sidelined for up to six months."
