Dagenham have made defender Gavin Hoyte their first signing of the summer on a two-year deal.
The 22-year-old, who was released by Arsenal at the end of the season, has enjoyed loan spells at Watford, Brighton, Lincoln and AFC Wimbledon. Boss John Still told the club's official website: "Gavin is someone we enquired about last year, he's a young player a bit like Abu Ogogo in the sense that he's come out of Arsenal and has come out with good habits. "He's played Championship football as well as at this level, he's a local lad and the thing that impressed us most of all is that he had four or five options and he chose Dagenham."
