Lukas Lidakevicius has been handed a first professional contract at Barnsley after graduating out of the club's academy ranks.
The Lithuanian goalkeeper becomes the eighth member of last year's second-year scholars to have been awarded a senior deal.
He has penned a one-year contract at Oakwell.
The 19-year-old, who has been involved with his country's U21 squad, is delighted to have proved his worth to Tykes boss Keith Hill.
"Last year Willco (goalkeeper coach Ian Willcock) came in and put on some great sessions," Lidakevicius told the club's official website.
"I've trained with Steeley (Luke Steele) and Preecy (David Preece) for the past two years and I've been getting better every day.
"To train with professionals like them and a great coach like Ian has made me better.
"I love it here with Barnsley. It's my home now."
