Serie A side sign Colombian striker but end interest in El Kaddouri

Parma have signed Colombian striker Dorlan Pabon but have ended their interest in attacking midfielder Omar El Kaddouri. The Serie A outfit have been looking to boost their attacking options after selling Italy playmaker Sebastian Giovinco to Juventus last week. They have confirmed the signing of Pabon from Atletico Nacional, who scored 50 goals in 71 games following his switch to the Medellin outfit in 2010. A statement from Parma read: "It is with great satisfaction that we announce the acquisition of Colombian striker Dorlan Pabon from Atletico Nacional Medellin." The Colombia international has put pen to paper on a five-year deal with the Italian club, who also have told El Kaddouri that he is no longer wanted.

End interest

This news comes after Parma had reached an agreement with Serie B side Brescia over his transfer, but El Kaddouri is waiting for Juventus to make him an offer. Parma director general Pietro Leonardi told Sport Italia: "We acted in the best possible way and there is an agreement with Brescia. "The boy had expressed an interest in joining us, perhaps before Juventus made a move for him. "Now, we are no longer interested. Parma don't like players who deem us as a back-up solution. The guy has never played in Serie A and his attitude disturbed us. "Nothing was signed, all the agreements were verbal, but we can say that Parma no longer want El Kaddouri." The 21-year-old Belgian attacking midfielder is contracted to Brescia until June 2013.
