Daniel Royer: Will spend next season on loan at Cologne

Hannover have loaned Austria international Daniel Royer to newly-relegated Cologne for next season.

The 22-year-old winger only made three appearances for the Bundesliga club after joining from SV Ried last summer.

Royer remains under contract with the Reds until 2015 but Hannover sporting director Jorg Schmadtke believes he will have more first-team opportunities playing in the second tier.

"This loan deal makes sense at this time," said Schmadtke.

"We will certainly be following his progress next season and we wish him all the best in Cologne."
