Bundesliga champions interested in striker

Borussia Dortmund are interested in bringing striker Julian Schieber to the club, according to the Bundesliga champions' chief Hans-Joachim Watzke. The 23-year-old Backnang-born player still has one more year remaining on his Stuttgart contract, although Die Roten are understood to want somewhere in the region of £7million. Schieber, who is a former Germany Under 21 international, was loaned out to Nuremberg last season and enjoyed a successful time at the Frankenstadion. Schieber has scored three goals in 18 appearances during his time Stuttgart and Dortmund head coach Jurgen Klopp is understood to be keen on bringing him to Signal Iduna Park. And Watzke said: "We are interested in Schieber. He certainly does have a certain value and we would be willing to pay that price. "But we definitely are not at odds (with Stuttgart) although we are spending our money carefully."
