Die Roten keen on signing experienced defender

Bundesliga outfit Hannover have revealed they are keen on bringing defender Patrick Ochs to the AWD Arena. The full-back is understood to be surplus to requirements at his club Wolfsburg, where head coach Felix Magath is looking to overhaul his squad this summer. Former Germany Under 21 international Ochs featured in just 13 matches for the Wolves last campaign and now the 28-year-old is being targeted by rivals Hannover, despite having a further three years left on his current deal. Hannover general manger Jorg Schmadtke told BILD newspaper: "I am able to confirm that I have had talks with the agent of Patrick Ochs. "We have been talking to each other about the possibility of a transfer." Meanwhile, manager Mirko Slomka admitted it will be hard trying to sign the former Eintracht Frankfurt player "Ochs is keen to make a move, but it will be a tough job for us to sign him."
