In-demand Bremen keeper also due to meet with Hoffenheim

Werder Bremen goalkeeper Tim Wiese claims he is wanted by Real Madrid after also confirming he is due to hold talks with Hoffenheim. Wiese is out of contract in the summer and he is set to end his seven-year association with Bremen by leaving on a free transfer. The Germany international is weighing up his options and says that Real coach Jose Mourinho is interested in signing him as cover for Iker Casillas. "There is some truth in that Real Madrid want to sign me," Wiese told the Kreiszeitung Skye. "There was contact between the club and my agent.

Flattering

"The decision I am taking is an important one. There are a lot of factors I am considering. One of these factors is my family. "Playing in a foreign competition is definitely a flattering idea. Leagues like those in Italy, Spain or England are great." AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur have all been linked with the 30-year-old, while Hoffenheim are prepared to offer Wiese the chance to stay in the Bundesliga. Wiese added to BILD: "This week I am to have a first round of talks with (Hoffenheim coach) Markus Babbel. Up to now we have just had a few phone calls. "I know I am player that regularly polarises the opinions of people. I have always given my very best for Werder Bremen. Life is tough, you have to work hard all the time."
