Spring says sorry to supporters

Leyton Orient captain Matthew Spring has apologised to fans for failing to acknowledge their support at the end of their clash with Yeovil.

Orient's disappointed players made a hasty exit from the Brisbane Road pitch at the final whistle after throwing away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2, a result which leaves them still in danger of relegation. "We didn't mean to not acknowledge the support given to us by the crowd, the support is first class and much appreciated," Spring told the club website. "The lads are sorry if it came across that we were ungrateful. We really weren't, we were just gutted to have lost the lead like that."
