Walsall have extended Sam Mantom's loan deal until the end of the season after making a big impact since his arrival last month.

The West Brom youngster joined the club at the start of March and has scored two goals in seven appearances for the Saddlers. And the 22-year-old has now signed until the end of the season as Walsall fight against relegation. Saddlers' manager Dean Smith is delighted to have secured Mantom's services for longer. "He has made a big contribution here and I'm delighted to be able to extend his stay," Smith told the club's official website. "He's been a useful addition to the squad and has got better with each game. "I'm looking forward to working with him between now and the end of the season."
