Van Geel pleased with young keeper

Feyenoord plan to offer goalkeeper Erwin Mulder a new contract at De Kuip as they look to continue developing the youngster. The 22-year-old Dutchman, whose current deal runs until next summer, has established himself as the Rotterdammers' first-choice keeper. Feyenoord technical director Martin van Geel hopes he will accept the offer of a new deal. He told RTV Rijnmond: "Few keepers of such a young age play at the highest level. "Erwin Mulder still needs to grow and can develop here. We'll see if he fulfils what we expect from him in the coming years." Feyenoord are also keen to extend the deal of reserve keeper Ronald Graafland, who is out of contract in the summer. Van Geel added: "He comes from Capelle (near Rotterdam), he knows the club and it's a nice atmosphere. "Moreover, he has the necessary qualities if we need to call on him."
