Bury youngster Max Harrop is hoping his recent loan spell at Blyth can be the catalyst to force him into first-team reckoning.
Harrop put in a raft of impressive performances during his temporary spell with Spartans and a substitute appearance in the defeat against Exeter has left the youngster wanting more. The 18-year-old feels he has learnt a lot during his time away from Gigg Lane - including how much he can expect to be kicked. "It was tough at Blyth because people were always in your face, to tackle you or just to kick you, so it was good experience," he told the Manchester Evening News. "I felt sharp when I came on and I've got to keep going now. "Going there was much better than just sitting in the stands and watching games when I could be out playing somewhere, and I thought I proved myself at that level. "I think I've proved to the gaffer in training the last few weeks that I can play at this level and I felt when I did come on that I didn't put a foot wrong. The more times I play the more confident I'll get and the more things I'll try."
