Brazilian plans to honour final two years of Villarreal contract

Nilmar has stated that he is happy to see out his contract with Villarreal after turning down an offer to return to Brazil and join Sao Paulo recently. The 27-year-old forward held talks with the club about returning to his native country, but was unable to agree personal terms and the move fell apart. Now, with two years remaining on his deal with Villarreal, Nilmar has explained that he is keen to put things back on track at El Madrigal as he is playing once again. "I am happy to stay at Villarreal," he said. "To return to playing was vital. I have two more years on my contract with Villarreal and I am here for them." Nilmar joined Villarreal in 2009 and is set to commit his future to the club, but he admits that should another bid be made then it could be considered. "It is true that things in football change and anything can happen, but in order for me to go it would have to be a good offer for all parties," he continued. "I am content and want to make things go well. The last few months have been bad especially as I could not play."
