Midfielder agrees two-and-a-half-year contract at Rugby Park

Sky Sports understands former Bristol City midfielder Lee Johnson has joined Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock on a free transfer, subject to international clearance. The 30-year-old has been looking for a new club since leaving the Robins by mutual consent on transfer deadline day after finding first-team chances limited at Ashton Gate. This will be the experienced playmaker's second taste of playing in Scotland after a six-month spell with Hearts in 2006. Johnson has signed a two-and-half-year deal at Rugby Park and could make his debut in Saturday's home clash with former club Hearts. Sky Sports revealed earlier on Friday that talks were taking place after the midfielder decided in January against a move to Yeovil, where he would have linked up with his father, Gary.
