Man City youngster Mohammed Abu has joined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan until the end of the season, the German club have announced.

Manchester City youngster Mohammed Abu has joined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan until the end of the season, the German club have announced. The 20-year-old Ghana international also has an option in his contract to extend his stay with the Bundesliga 2 outfit for the 2012/13 campaign. Abu, who has been included in his country's squad for January's African Cup of Nations, is under contract with Roberto Mancini's City until the summer of 2014. But he recently spent time on loan with Norwegian club Stromsgodset and has now been offered another the chance to gain first-team football elsewhere. Eintracht Frankfurt general manager Bruno Hubner told his club's official website: "We have finally worked out a loan deal with Manchester City with regard to Mohammed Abu. He will join our club for the rest of the season. "We also have the chance to keep him at our club for another campaign, should he impress our coaching staff."
