Rochdale have handed Stephen Jordan an 18-month contract after the defender proved he can play an influential role for the club.
Jordan, who started his career with Manchester City, joined Dale on non-contract terms in October and has since played every game. The form he has shown in his eight appearances to date has clearly impressed the club's hierarchy, though, so much so that he has been given new terms.
