St Johnstone midfielder Kevin Moon is hoping he can agree a new contract to secure his future with the SPL club.
Moon's present deal is due to expire after he was handed a short-term contract by former manager Derek McInnes following an injury-hit time at McDiarmid Park.
The 24-year-old missed most of last season with a knee injury, but has impressed this term and is keen to stay beyond the New Year.
McInnes' successor Steve Lomas revealed last month that he wants to hang on to Moon and the player is optimistic an agreement can be reached.
"I'm hoping to get the contract sorted because it's up in a couple of weeks," Moon told the Perthshire Advertiser.
"The manager has been great and he's really helping me. I believe he can make me a better player. So hopefully we can get it all sorted."
