Swindon's Raffaele De Vita says he deserved criticism from Paolo Di Canio after his dismal performance against Bristol Rovers.
The Robins drew 1-1 at the Memorial Stadium, but after the game Di Canio revealed he wants to make a big changes to his squad, especially in the striking department.
De Vita has scored just once in his last eight appearances, but is seeing Di Canio's outburst as an incentive to improve rather than a threat.
The Italian striker told the Gazette & Herald: "We deserved a good hammering, especially some players, including myself.
"If it's not good enough then it means that we have to do more.
"I think it's a test of maturity for me now, and if I react well it will be something that makes me stronger."
