Coventry have handed exciting teenage prospects Cyrus Christie and Conor Thomas new long-term contracts.
Full-back Christie, 19, and midfielder Thomas, 17, have both become regulars in Andy Thorn's team this season and have landed improved deals as a reward for their progress.
The Sky Blues are currently in the bottom three of the Championship but the emergence of these young players has been one of the plus points of their season.
Future
"I am really, really pleased that Cyrus and Conor have extended their contracts with the club," Thorn told the
club's official website.
"They, like many other of the younger lads that have come in this season, are the future of this football club and it will be a bright future for Coventry City with these players on board.
"Conor was in and around the first team for a little while last season, but he's really started to make his mark in the Championship this season, and has either started or come on in every game since.
"Again, he will just get better with the more experience that he picks up in games, coming up and playing against those who have been there and done it."
Thorn is pleased to see the young players staying loyal to the club where they have been given an opportunity to showcase their skills.
He added: "I am just delighted that both Conor and Cyrus can see that their future is here with Coventry City and we look forward to helping them progress."
