Charlton boss Chris Powell gave Stevenage all the credit for the 1-0 win which ended his side's unbeaten start to the season.

Stacy Long's early goal at Broadhall Way on Saturday was enough to sink the visitors, but Powell's side are still top of League One.

He said: "Credit to Stevenage, they've been a breath of fresh air so far this season.

"It's a disappointing outcome for us though. We've lost a proud unbeaten record despite bossing large periods of the game.

"The chances were there for us. We looked a threat going forward but the finishing touch wasn't there for us.

"We're still on top of the pile though, so we won't be getting ourselves too down about this result - we can't afford to."
