Midfielder happy to have his future at League Two club resolved

Macclesfield Town midfielder Colin Daniel has signed a one-year contract extension to stay with the League Two club until 2013. Daniel has been a consistent performer for the Silkmen and has made over 100 appearances for the club since joining from Crewe Alexandra in 2009, initially on loan. He has endured an injury-hit start to the new season, but the 23-year-old is happy to be staying at Macclesfield for the foreseeable future. "It's good to have that security of knowing where I stand and where I will be next season," Daniel told the club's official website. "It is something that can play on a player's mind at times, so I'm delighted to be staying here for another season. "It's a great club and I think we can do well this season."
