Hoffenheim captain Andreas Beck has signed a two-year contract extension that commits him to the club until 2014. The 24-year-old moved from Stuttgart in 2008 and is looking to impress with a view to claiming a spot in the German national team, having made his debut against Norway in February 2009. The defender revealed he was pleased to have agreed new terms with the club. "I am glad to be able to continue with Hoffenheim and help shape the team," said Beck. "It was important that the club and coach had a concept I could relate to." Hoffenheim sit eighth in the Bundesliga table having lost their last game 2-0 to Cologne.
