Goalkeeping crisis for Hecking after shot-stopper breaks finger

Nurnberg are facing a goalkeeping crisis after Patrick Rakovsky was ruled out for up to six weeks with a broken finger. The setback comes in the wake of captain and first-choice shot-stopper Raphael Schafer's leg injury, which is expected to leave him unavailable for three months. Nurnberg will now have to call on third choice goalkeeper Alexander Stephan or reserve team shot-stopper Benjamin Uphoff and manager Dieter Hecking is concerned by the latest setback. Hecking told Bayerischer Rundfunk media: "It is a blow, of course. "We have our skipper, Raphael Schafer, out with an injury and it is believed now Patrick Rakovsky will take perhaps the same amount of time to recover from his injury."
