Ligue 1 outfit expect keeper to be cleared of any wrongdoing

Ajaccio remain confident that Mexican keeper Guillermo Ochoa will soon be cleared of any wrongdoing. The 26-year-old secured a switch to France this summer, but has arrived in European football under a cloud. Ochoa was one of five Mexican players that failed a drugs test at the Concacaf Gold Cup in May. He was later cleared by the Mexican authorities, with the positive results blamed on food poisoning, but the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has appealed the decision. The case will now be heard by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, allowing a final judgement to be made. There is still a chance that Ochoa and his colleagues will be handed a lengthy ban, but Ajaccio are confident they will be given the green light to continue including the keeper in their first-team plans.

Relaxed

Club chairman Alain Orsoni told L'Equipe: "We have received several letters from the Mexican Federation keeping us informed. "I talked with them about Ochoa 10 days ago and we are happy with how things stand. We are relaxed. "It seems that the Mexican Federation have support from Fifa and their case is quite strong. "All of the tests after the first one were negative. Personally, I believe WADA made an appeal as a matter of principle."
