Taiwo enjoying attacking role

Carlisle United midfielder Tom Taiwo is relishing a more offensive role in midfield this season.

The 21-year-old former Leeds trainee, who covered for injured defender Frank Simek at left-back earlier this term, struck his first goal of the campaign in the 2-1 win over Bournemouth at the weekend as the Cumbrians secured their first home league win. Taiwo said: "I'm enjoying myself this season. The gaffer is telling me to get forward more and if I can add goals to my game then it will make me a much more rounded player. "We've found our passing game more over the last few weeks and we started really quickly in this one, so they hardly got a kick for a good while. "It was nice for us to be playing good stuff at home in the first half, even though we didn't get the goal. We won with hard work and that allowed our quality to show through."
