County sweat on Hunt recovery

Notts County defender Stephen Hunt has suffered a setback in his recovery from an ankle operation.

The 26-year-old is expected to be out for around four months after going under the knife at the end of last season. However, an infection could prolong Hunt's absence if further surgery is required. "Stephen Hunt just spent a couple of nights in hospital as his ankle got infected, causing a great deal of pain," said boss Martin Allen. "He has a course of strong antibiotics and we will find out on Monday as to whether his ankle needs further surgery."
