Defender says Udinese are asking too much for a permanent deal

Mohamadou Sissoko remains keen to join Kilmarnock on a permanent basis, but feels Udinese are asking too high a transfer fee. The defender spent last season on loan at Kilmarnock and the 22-year-old impressed in making 31 appearances for the SPL club. Udinese are prepared to sell Sissoko over the summer, however, reports claim the Serie A club want a fee of £750,000. That figure is likely to be beyond Kilmarnock's reach and Sissoko is hoping the two clubs can reach a compromise to enable him to return to Rugby Park. "I know Kilmarnock would like to keep me, but I'm not sure it is going to happen because my club are asking for a lot of money," said Sissoko in the Daily Record. "I'd be interested in staying in Scotland. I'd like to look at all my options, but at the moment I can't do anything because of the fee. "It's down to my club, but I doubt Kilmarnock would be able to pay that. I don't have any other offers, so I don't know where I'll be playing."
