Swiss right-back linked with Juve; Konko switch in doubt

Stephan Lichtsteiner's agent expects the Lazio right-back to complete a transfer to Juventus this week. The Switzerland international has been strongly linked with a switch to Juve this summer, although Lazio have stated they wish to retain his services. However, the 27-year-old's representative, Federico Pastorello, is confident a deal is in the offing. Pastorello told Radio Mana Mana: "This week I expect Lichtsteiner to join Juventus. "I can confirm that there is a small difference between the clubs over an agreement, but I hope and believe a deal will be resolved." But Lazio president Claudio Lotito has stressed that the club will not part company with Lichtsteiner for less than his current release clause. "Lazio have not put him for sale. But for this player there is a release clause in his contract of €12million (£10.7m). "Should someone meet that clause then the player is free to hold talks."

Konko

Meanwhile, Abdoulaye Konko's proposed switch from Genoa to Lazio appears to be in doubt due to a dispute over contractual terms. "There is a notable difference between the offer and what the player wants. The club need to make a bigger sacrifice, otherwise it will be tough to do a deal," his agent, Daniele Conte, told Cittaceleste. "If Lazio don't improve their offer then Konko will be staying at Genoa. He has a contract at Genoa for four years and is happy there.
