Mali international striker Garra Dembele has joined Freiburg from Bulgarian outfit Levski Sofia.
The Bundesliga club have not revealed the length of French-born Dembele's contract or the transfer fee, but reports in the German media suggest the deal was in the region of £2million.
Freiburg general manager Dirk Dufner says the club are thrilled to have acquired 25-year-old Dembele, who had a year remaining on his contract at Levski.
He told the club's official website: "We are delighted to have completed the signature of Garra Dembele.
"This makes our striking force for the new Bundesliga season complete.
"We have intensively scouted the player and we are sure this capture will be an enormous capture for the attacking forces of Freiburg."
Dembele netted 26 goals in 24 appearances for Levski in the Bulgarian top-flight last season.
