German Cup winners Schalke have agreed to sign midfielder Marco Hoger from second division Alemannia Aachen.
The 21-year-old is set to arrive at Veltins-Arena on a contract until June 2015 and will be the third new acquisition of the Ruhr club ahead of the new campaign.
Schalke are reported to have agreed to pay £1.2million after agreeing personal terms several weeks ago.
Schalke general manager Horst Heldt told Reviersport newspaper: "We are going to sign Marco Hoger.
"We agreed personal terms with the player some time ago. We have now also agreed a transfer with Alemannia Aachen."
