St Mirren have been boosted by the news that Steven Thomson and David Barron have agreed one-year deals.
Thomson looked set to quit the club this summer after rejecting fresh terms earlier this year, but has now decided to stay.
Buddies manager Danny Lennon was delighted with how Thomson came into the side - stating his quality was there for all to see.
"David came in for the last couple of games and you could see his qualities," stated Lennon.
"He knows if he wants to get a move down south in the future he has to be playing at a high level for St Mirren.
"Thommo leads by example and is a perfect professional. It's great he's agreed to stay for another season."
The club have also offered deals to Lee Mair, Paul Gallacher, Hugh Murray and Michael Higdon.
