Taiwo unaware of milestone

Carlisle midfielder Tom Taiwo had no idea he had completed 100 appearances for the Cumbrians against Leyton Orient.

The 21-year-old, signed from Chelsea in January 2010 following an initial loan spell, made his debut at Brunton Park against Brentford on the opening day of the 2009/10 season. Taiwo said: "It's flown by, it really has. I didn't realise that I'd made the landmark until I was told, and it's nice to get there. "It means that I've been involved, and all any of us want to do is play football. "Hopefully I'll keep playing well enough to stay in the side and there'll be many more to come." Taiwo, born in Leeds, worked his way through the youth ranks at Elland Road before becoming one of three youngsters - Michael Woods and Danny Rose the others - controversially signed by Chelsea in 2006. Leeds withdrew their allegations of 'poaching' when accepting a reported compensation fee of £5million for trio.
