Kombouare prepared to be patient with academy stars

Paris St Germain coach Antoine Kombouare is not looking to the club's exciting crop of youngsters to step up just yet. A number of academy stars were given an opportunity to impress last week as PSG booked their place in the semi-finals of the French Cup. A 2-0 victory over Ligue 2 leaders Le Mans saw the likes of Jean-Christophe Bahebeck and Neeskens Kebano catch the eye. Kombouare was delighted to see the stars of tomorrow shine on the senior stage, with their performances suggesting they have bright futures ahead of them. He is, however, in no rush to throw them into the first-team fold on a regular basis, with it important that they are given time to hone their talent in the youth ranks. "They finished the job started by the older players, and that is nice to see," said Kombouare. "The education centre has done a great job. They are options, but we must not get carried away by these young players. "We have to give them time. We can't put them under too much pressure. They have no responsibility at present. "It is important that they continue to play with passion and for fun. They are here to learn and we must let them do that at their own pace."
