The 19-year-old joins the Eredivisie club from Ujpest FC on loan until the end of the season, when Feyenoord have the option to sign him permanently.

Simon, who spent time with Wolves' Under-18 team in 2009, has impressed coach Mario Been while on trial at the Dutch club.

The youngster turned down a €700,000 (£585,000) move to German outfit Hoffenheim because he had already arranged a deal with Feyenoord.

He told www.origo.hu: "I could've earned much more at Hoffenheim, but I made a verbal agreement with the Feyenoord officials in December."

Ujpest coach Zoltan Kovacs confirmed a bid was rejected from Hoffenheim and that the teenager was never in talks with the Bundesliga outfit.

He said on the club's official website: "It proves Simon's talent that Hoffenheim made a bid which - as I know - is the biggest fee that could've been paid for a player in the history of Ujpest.

"Krisztian rejected the German club for only one reason: he doesn't want to change the promise he gave to Feyenoord and he stressed the given word means more than anything to him.

"We didn't want to force anybody to sign here or there, so it was his own decision and he first said 'yes' to Feyenoord and the offer of Hoffenheim arrived just after this.

"So he didn't even travel to Germany to have talks with Hoffenheim."

Kovacs says Ujpest and Feyenoord are still negotiating over what will happen to the forward in the summer.

He added: "Though it's now decided that Krisztian will play at Feyenoord this spring, we're still having talks about Feyenoord's optional right to buy him after his loan spell."

Simon has already made two appearances for the Eredivisie club, against Ajax and De Graafschap.
