Dennis Oliech has pledged his future to Auxerre by penning a new two-year contract.
The 25-year-old will now remain at Stade Abbe Deschamps until at least the summer of 2013.
The Kenyan midfielder, who has been with Auxerre since 2007, was set to see his current deal expire at the end of the season.
With that agreement running down, he would have been free to discuss pre-contract terms with any interested parties during the January transfer window.
That situation has now been avoided, though, with Auxerre delighted to have laid the issue to rest.
They are now free to concentrate on a Ligue 1 campaign which sees them languishing in 14th place following a disappointing first half to the season.
