Glik and Okaka on bottom club's radar

Bari are in negotiations with Palermo over Kamil Glik and would also like to sign Roma's Stefano Okaka. Glik only joined Palermo in the summer but has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot and now looks poised for another move in the New Year. Bari have identified the powerful Polish centre-back, 22, as a player they like and sporting director Guido Angelozzi has already held talks with Palermo. Bari are desperate to bolster their squad as they look to climb off the bottom of the Serie A table and Okaka has emerged as another transfer target. The 21-year-old striker spent time on loan at Fulham last season but has continued to find opportunities hard to come by since his return to Roma. Okaka has previously stated that he would be prepared to leave the Stadio Olimpico in search of more game time.

Great faith

"We are at a good point with how the negotiations are going for bringing in a defender and a striker," Angelozzi told ForzaRoma.info. "We are close to Glik from Palermo and are following Okaka from Roma." Angelozzi is confident that Bari can avoid relegation this season despite currently finding themselves four points from safety. He said: "I have great faith in the side, and I don't believe there are plots against Bari. "Everyone can make an error in football, both footballers and referees. "We will get over this, and with the return of our injured players and transfer reinforcements, we will be stronger."
