Cagliari midfielder Andrea Lazzari will not be sold to AC Milan in the January transfer window, according to his agent.
Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri knows Lazzari well from his time in charge of Cagliari and is thought to be considering a winter swoop.
However, he is such a key player at Stadio Sant'Elia that club president Massimo Cellini will be determined to keep hold of him.
Lazzari's representative Stefano Zambetti fully expects his client to stay at Cagliari, who currently occupy a mid-table berth in Serie A.
"I have not had any contact with AC Milan," Zambetti told totalsport.it.
"I stick to the words of Cagliari's president Cellino who has expressed the intention not to sell anyone in January.
"If Cagliari need Lazzari then it's clear that he won't move.
"Allegri admires him, this is not a mystery, but the only certainty is the words of Cellino."
