NEC Nijmegen forward Leroy George has resumed training after recovering from injury, the club has confirmed.
The Surinamese player sustained the problem to his right ankle during NEC's 3-1 defeat at PSV Eindhoven on 11th September following a challenge by Erik Pieters and has not featured for the Eredivisie club since.
George attempted to regain fitness for last month's clash at NAC Breda, but suffered another setback and was unable to feature.
However, the 23-year-old appears poised to make his comeback after returning to training on Thursday and practicing with the rest of the squad.
Head coach Wiljan Vloet will consider the forward for selection ahead of Sunday's visit of ADO Den Haag, NEC have confirmed on their official website.
