Coker stays with Chelmsford

Colchester defender Ben Coker has extended his loan spell with non-league side Chelmsford City for another month.

The U's have also given permission for Coker to play in their FA Cup first-round tie against Hendon on Saturday. The 21-year-old left-back joined Colchester from Bury Town over the summer but was loaned out to gain first-team experience. And with Marc Tierney fit after a recent shoulder injury and Bristol City loanee Tommy Williams this week extending his deal, Coker has been allowed to stay with the non-leaguers.
