Nurnberg have confirmed that striker Albert Bunjaku will be sidelined for around six months through injury. The 26-year-old had been complaining of a knee problem and the injury was aggravated during Nurnberg's 1-1 draw against Hamburg on Saturday. Now the German Bundesliga club has revealed that the Switzerland international underwent an operation on his right knee on Wednesday. Bunjaku joined Nurnberg from lower-league side Rot-Weiss Erfurt in the summer of 2009 and has gone on to score 13 goals in 35 appearances. The Kosovo-born striker made his international debut last November and has gone on to play four times for Switzerland, featuring in their World Cup squad this summer.
