Former Yeovil youngster joins on free transfer

Kieran Murtagh has joined Wycombe on a free transfer following his departure from Yeovil. The youngster had not been offered new terms by the Glovers at the end of last season, but was due to resume training this week in an attempt to win a new deal at Huish Park. But following the Glovers' announcement that he would not be returning for pre-season training, Murtagh has opted to join Wycombe on a one-year deal to become Gary Waddock's fifth summer signing. Waddock told his club's official website: "He's a young player who has lots of potential. "He's attack-minded and is technically very good. If he can reach anywhere near his full potential here, then he'll be a valuable asset for the squad." Elsewhere, Arsenal have confirmed youngster Luke Ayling, who spent time on loan with the Glovers last term, has made a permanent move to Huish Park.
