Harry Crawford has revealed that he is poised to sign a two-year contract at Southend.

The 18-year-old came through the ranks at Roots Hall before making his full debut for Steve Tilson's side in May's 2-1 win over Stockport.

Crawford, who has recently been in action with the Republic of Ireland's Under-19 side, told the Southend Echo: "I haven't actually signed it yet but it's very close to being done.

"Hopefully I can stay involved with the first team and get a few more appearances to help the team try and get back in to League One."
