Valencia have reached an agreement to sign Turkey international Mehmet Topal from Galatasaray.
The defensive midfielder has made 15 appearances for his country and impressed at club level in recent seasons.
Valencia have kept tabs on his progress and are set to bring him in officially when the transfer window opens.
The deal is dependent on the 24-year-old passing a medical with the Spanish outfit.
Valencia will be looking to strengthen their squad further over the summer after qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.
