Julio Cruz's agent has revealed the Lazio striker is thinking of hanging up his boots.
The Argentine has endured an injury-plagued campaign since joining Lazio on a two-year contract from Inter Milan last summer.
Speculation has surfaced about what the future might hold for Cruz, who is now 35.
He has yet to make a final decision but it seems his days as a top-flight footballer might be numbered.
"His idea is to retire," Cruz's representative Jorge Cyterszpiler told calciomercato.it.
"In this season he has had many problems with the back and he is really thinking of leaving football.
"At the moment that is the idea, beyond we'll see."
