Moroccan ace taking relaxed view on future

Hibernian striker Abdessalam Benjelloun insists he taking a relaxed approach to where he will be playing next season.

The 25-year-old Moroccan is out of contract this summer and is available on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.

Benjelloun admits he would like to extend his Easter Road stay, but concedes that decision is down to the club.

"I never worry, never worry in football because if you play football, you get a chance to play anywhere," he said.

"But, like I've said before, I want always to be here because I like the club, I like the fans, I like my colleagues."

No news

It had been thought his agent had been fielding pre-contract offers, but he insists there is no news on his future.

"If I have something, sure I will tell you," he added.

Benjelloun missed from the penalty spot against Kilmarnock, but his blushes were spared thanks to Derek Riordan's late winner.

"That's Derek's speciality," said Benjelloun. "Only Derek can score that goal.

"He knows what he's going to do and he took a free-kick into the top corner and gave us three points."
