Port Vale striker Geoff Horsfield has revealed that he may be forced to retire at the end of the season due to injuries.

Veteran Port Vale striker Geoff Horsfield has revealed that he may be forced to retire at the end of the season if he continues to struggle with injuries.
The 36-year-old, who is also the club's assistant manager, made a successful recovery from testicular cancer to sign for the League Two side last summer, but has struggled to make an impact following a series of setbacks.
The former West Brom forward has only made 11 appearances this season and has not played for the League Two side since tearing a hamstring in Vale's 2-0 defeat to Morecambe on 5th December.
Horsfield remains determined to battle on, but he admitted that it is becoming increasingly difficult. He told the
Stoke Sentinel: "I've got to consider retirement because I haven't played enough games.
"I didn't want to come in just as assistant manager, I wanted to play football too, so it's been disappointing I haven't been able to stay injury free.
"In a worst-case scenario, if my hamstring or groin goes again or I keep picking up niggly injuries, I'll review things in the summer."
He added: "It's frustrating because I want to train as well as play in games."
