Keeper Asier Riesgo is hoping he will secure a transfer to Spurs following a successful trial with the club.

Keeper hoping financial agreement can be reached between clubs

Asier Riesgo is hoping Tottenham and Real Sociedad can reach a 'financial agreement' following the goalkeeper's trial with the London club. The 26-year-old former Spain Under 21 international says Spurs boss Harry Redknapp was happy with his stay at White Hart Lane. Redknapp has been looking for cover for first-choice goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes after Carlo Cudicini was ruled out for the rest of the season following his motorcycle accident. Riesgo, who spent last season on loan at Recreativo Huelva, hopes he will earn a lucrative move from the Segunda Division side. Speaking to newspaper Diario Vasco on his return to Spain on Tuesday, Riesgo said: "It's a nice opportunity. I would go to a great club and a change of air would be good for me. I have to look out for my interests. "The coach told me that he was happy with the time that I spent there. Now the clubs have to find a financial agreement. I think that it's a positive operation for all."
