Arsenal target sticks with French outfit

Paris St Germain midfielder Younousse Sankhare has penned a new three-year deal with the French club. The promising 20-year-old had caught the attention of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, who sent out scouts on numerous occasions to watch the left-sided midfielder, who can also operate at left-back. Wenger has a plethora of options on the left with Gael Clichy, Armand Traore and Kieran Gibbs all vying for the Gunners left-back role, while Andrey Arshavin has nailed down the attacking role on that wing. With first-team opportunities in Wenger's side certain to be at a premium, Sankhare has opted to stay in the French capital by signing a contract which will keep him at the Ligue 1 outfit until June 2012. "I am very happy to commit myself here," the France under 21 starlet told skysports.com. "I want to play in this team regularly and show my qualities, hopefully I will get my chance."
