Defender makes Italian return

Juventus have completed the signing of Fabio Grosso from Lyon. Grosso has signed a three-year deal with Juventus after the two clubs finally agreed a deal for the Italian international. The move looked set to fall through earlier on Monday after the two clubs were struggling to agree a fee for the left-back. However, a compromise has been reached between the two sides with Juventus paying an initial fee of €2.9million [2.5million] for Grosso. "The purchase of Fabio Grosso adds further quality to an already very competitive squad," said Juve chief executive Jean-Claude Blanc. The former Inter Milan star has been seeking a move back to Italy for some time and Juve have now offered him the chance to return to Serie A. Meanwhile, Lyon have also confirmed the departure of Anthony Mounier to fellow French outfit Nice for a fee of €2.5million [£2.2million].
